Solenoid valves are electromechanical devices which work by passing and electrical current thorough a solenoid, thereby changing the state of the valve. Usually, there is a mechanical element used to hold the valve in its default position. Often this is a spring. The standard components of solenoid valves are: Valve body, plunger seal, O-rings, armature guide tube, plunger, spring, shading ring, stopper, flange, bonnet, coil, flat seal, cable plug and locknut.
